These resources will help children of all ages improve their reading and writing skills. All are free to use at home or at school!

Children’s Storybooks Online Students can click on stories…some need to be read by the student, while others have words that can be clicked on and can be read to the student.

Highlights Kids  is a website based on the venerable children’s magazine, offering animated short stories, articles and Read-and-Listen poems under the “Read It” tab.

Reading Bear  Great site for teaching letter sounds to early readers. (use the settings button to set font, font color, auto play, and so on)

Fun English Games  Website with interactive games, videos, worksheets, and other fun activities in English, math, and science.

Listen Write Read – downloadable writing practice books in 5 languages – appropriate for grades K to 5

Literacy Center Education Network- This site teaches letter names, sounds, animated letter formation, color words, shapes and vowels. Four languages (English, Spanish French, German). – Folk Tales The Starfall learn-to-read website is offered free as a public service to inspire a love of reading and writing.

Miss Molly – Videos that teach the letters of the alphabet and sight words.
